A Patented British invention, the Fingersafe^® door protection system was invented in 1992 when a partner's daughter caught her finger in a door. After experimenting with various designs it became obvious that the concertina design was ideal as it actually ejects fingers from that area. An application for grant of a patent was filed the same year and granted in November 1994. It is now patented and sold worldwide. It is considered a necessity by Health & Safety Officers nationwide.

Suitable for 99% of doors including fire doors, Fingersafe^® offers three models for the hinge side of the door; MK1A, MK1B and MK1C.

   

We have now developed the MK1C which uses the same module as the MK1A but has a unique fixing strip which holds the product flat aginst the door making it ideal for the bi-fold and door flush with the frame. Our Fingersafe^® range is now complete protection for the hinge side of standard butt hinge doors and we are now working on protection for the lock side and two-way pivot doors.
